Drew Marcus Weenig Born on September 2nd

Owen is now a big brother!!
He was the first sibling to hold Baby Drew because the girls were sick.

I love this picture of Drew. I stole it from my sister Tammi's Blog.

Drew was my first nephew to squirt me while

I was changing his diaper - 3 TIMES!!!

Good thing he is really cute!! One time it soaked my shorts!!

Grandpa Jerry & Elvie with all the Thornton great-grandkids. Baby Carter was on his own in most of these pictures and he did great!!

The numbers were doubled this year and the
boys now out number the girls.
Not something the Thornton's are used to!!

Just the grandkids, they were pretty much
done with all the picture taking.
I am the annoying aunt that is always taking pictures
(someday my family will appreciate it!!)

Just the Boys - Oldest to Youngest

I love this picture!! Owen is looking at the babies cause they were crying.
Like he could get them to stop!! HA HA

Avery's 5th Birthday at Disneyland

My mom and I took Madison-7, Avery-5, Owen-2 all to Disneyland for Avery's 5th Birthday. It was a lot of fun. It was a perfect day weather wise, and the kids were great. The park wasn't that crowded. We didn't wait for more than 40 minutes for any ride, including Space Mountain. Avery and I went on Space Mountain, she was very brave. I was so proud of her bravery.

This is Avery being excited (a little scared) to go on Space Mountain.

It was a lot of fun going to Disneyland with my mom and the Weenig Kids.

I really enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephew. When Avery heard that we were going to get to meet with Mickey & Minnie she got a huge grin on her face. She was soo excited to get there autograph. Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth for everyone!!

Madison & Avery in Minnie's house.
Look how happy Madison was!!

Madison and Avery with Sleeping Beauty.

Madison & Avery with Mulan.

Madison & Avery with Cinderalla.

We waited for an 1 1/2 hours to get these princesses autographs and get pictures with them. The girls wanted to do this more than ride on rides so that is what we did.

This was at the end of the day and Owen still had sooo much energy. He was posing for pictures and dancing. He was having a lot of fun!!

This was Owen showing us his dance moves.

Singles Conference is Over

So last January I was called as a co-chair in charge of our ward's Huntington Beach Mid Singles Conference. This year was the third year of this conference. Registration at this conference has been between 800-1200. This is a huge group to plan activities for. This was a lot of work for me. Luckily I got lots of help from my friends and family. The conference was a hit. We had around 920 registered this year. The hardest part of this calling for me was that I had to speak on Sunday during our 2 hour sacrament meeting. There were around 1200 people there on Sunday. This was soooo nerve racking for me. I don't like speaking in my own ward - let alone in front of that large of a group. We did have a lot of fun. On Saturday night we had a group called 80's All Starz play for us. We found them at Disneyland, everyone really enjoyed the band's music. On Friday night we had a Robo-Surfer - kind of like a mechanical bull that you ride, instead there was a surf board to ride. It was a lot of fun. Here is a picture of me riding it - before the crowds got there.

This is me on the Robo Surfer before it started moving. It was easier to stay on that way.

This is me trying to ride it once it started to move. It threw me off a few times. When I got off the surfboard I could barely walk. I had to sit down and people brought me food and water. I had been working all day to set everything up and hadn't had much to eat so by body was not ready for the surf board ride.

Our Family Does Things in Groups

So last summer we had two weddings. This summer there are 3 baby boys coming.

Coco had her baby Carter Daniel Meisenbach on May 2nd, 2009. He was 7 lbs 4 ounces and 21 inches long. Here are a few pictures of Carter.

Coco is a mommy now. Should we start calling her Nichole??

This is Carter's first day at church. He looks so big in this picture. I have been having soooo much fun playing with him. The Meisenbach Family (Daniel, Coco & Carter) live close to me so I get to see them a lot. Here are some fun pictures that Chris (Michelle's) husband took of the Meisenbach Family.

This is my favorite picture. We searched the house for items that Carter could fit in. He was such a good sport and didn't cry once.

Here is the Meisenbach Family Photo. Dan, Coco, & Carter.

I thought this was a cool picture too. I love the coloring on this.

Melissa is pregnant as well. She is due either end of June or beginning of July. She isn't real sure about her due date. She has been given a few different due dates. She is also having a boy. They are very excited. They also live close to me so I will get to see the "Carlile baby boy" a lot as well. Can't wait to meet him.
Tammi is also pregnant and due the end of August some time. She has 3 kids, 2 girls and 1 boy. So this new baby boy will be the perfect end to their cute family. Two girls and two boys. Here are a few pictures of the Weenig Family (Marcus, Tammi, Madison, & Avery). We already know how cute the Weenig kids are so I am sure this one will be just as cute!!

This is Owen Weenig. He is two years old now. He is the cutest little boy. We are having fun with him. The Weenigs live in San Marcos which is about a little over an hour away. Owen is the first of many grandsons to come and will be a great ring leader!!

Tag You're It!!

So this is my sister Tammi and I when we were maybe 4 and 3. Not really sure. Tammi and I are 17 months apart. I love this picture because it reminds me of simpler times. I recently found some old pictures so I scanned them and this one happens to be my 6th picture. We are wearing matching dresses with pinafore's. My sisters and I always had matching dresses growing up. Our Grandma Thornton would buy us all matching dresses. When there was five of us it was kind of funny watching a family with five girls walk in to a restaurant with matching dresses. I can look back at it now and laugh, back then I would get embarrassed easily. For those that know me I tend to get embarrassed easily.

These are my Grandma & Grandpa Thornton. My grandpa passed away about 12 years ago. We all miss him a lot, especially my grandma. My grandma now lives in San Angelo, Texas and we don't get to see her a lot.

This is one of my favorite pictures of my grandpa. The girl is my Aunt Sharyn. My grandpa never smiled much in pictures and I just love his smile in this picture. He loved his baby girl. He had 3 boys and Sharyn was the youngest. Grandpa Thornton was a rough looking guy if you didn't know him. He loved playing with his grand kids, especially us granddaughters!! The other picture is a cowboy picture of him when he was a Young Adult. I will have to find a copy of it and scan it so I can post it on my blog.
Here are the instructions:
1. Go to your pictures/documents
2. Go to your sixth file
3. Go to your sixth picture and blog about it
4. Tag three people. I popcorn Tammi, Alicia, and Haley

Wedding #2

Blake & Melissa Carlile's Wedding

Well I got through Wedding #2. Melissa's colors were Burnt Orange & Champagne. They were difficult colors to find. Melissa and Blake got married on June 28th, 2008. They were sealed in the Newport Beach Temple. It was a very nice day. Their reception was in a family friends backyard. It was a very nice reception. They did a dance to the song from Dirty Dancing, it was fun to watch. Of course there was lots of dancing and a fun time was had by all.

Sisters at Melissa's Wedding

So I went dark for Michelle's wedding and I got a lot of compliments so I decided to keep it. I really like it. So my hairdresser (My Sister Coco) suggested I add bangs. So I decided to go for it. I am all about trying new things, at least with the help with my excellent stylist Coco.

Princesses Avery, Melissa & Madison

These girls were so excited to look just like the bride. Their dresses kind of matched. They loved carrying her train. They felt really special. It was a very warm day outside so I am sure that Melissa enjoyed the draft she felt as the girls would raise her train a little high at times.

Owen has two older sisters and I think it is beginning to rub off on him. He loves to wear women's shoes. He is pretty good at walking in them too. I think he might be better than I am!!! Here are a few pictures to prove it.

Melissa is the third sister and she is my last sister to get married. It is Jeff and I left. Jeff is safe on a mission. He gets home this July of 2009. Yikes I can't believe he is already coming home. At both of the weddings this summer we had a cardboard cut out of Jeff. It was pretty life like. We are all so excited to see him when he gets home. He will come home to two new brother in laws and two new nephews. Our family is changing and growing. It is a lot of fun. I am sure that Marcus is very excited to finally have brother in laws in this family of girls. My dad finally got a job and is working for the city of San Jose. He comes home every other month. He is staying with Blake's Grandparents. My mom keeps busy at home with the new puppy that they got. They have a beagle. Chris and Michelle also moved into my parents house. Well that is the latest update on the Thornton Family.
